From 1999 until her retirement in 2015, Nasreen served as the Manager of Planning Data Services at the Clearinghouse, Maryland Department of Planning, where she provided technical assistance and support to a wide range of organizations and individuals on redistricting-related matters.

As the Co-Founder and Chair of Hajar's Hope Women's Center Inc., a shelter for homeless women and children, she has made a significant impact on the lives of those in need. She also serves as the Administrator and Principal of Al-Rahmah Sunday School and has founded and facilitated the Needy Family Program.
Nasreen's commitment to her community is further demonstrated through her involvement as a Commissioner for the Baltimore County Human Relation Commission, a Muslim Representative for the Muslim/Christian/Jewish dialogue, and an Election Judge/Technical Judge for Baltimore County. She has also served as Vice President for the Baltimore Muslim Council, Legislative Liaison for the Maryland Muslim Council, Councilwoman for Wake Forest University Parents Council, and a member of the Coachford Neighborhood Association and the Woodholme Reserve Neighborhood Association Board.
